Dr. Kimberly Pintabona

Dr. Kim Pintabona was born and raised right here in Buffalo, New York. Her love for dogs started growing up with a brilliant Doberman Pinscher, Rubi Ann, and learning at a young age first hand how strong the human-animal bond is. Throughout middle and high school, she had a very obvious love for science and knew she wanted to continue that education.

After graduating from high school a year early in 2015, she attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in human psychology in winter of 2018. After that she decided to combine her love for science and animals and attended Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where shegraduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. For companionship throughout vet school, she adopted her first ever fur baby, her kitty Ophelia, from Columbus Humane. During her time at OSU she worked within their veterinary hospital's ICU and grew to love emergency medicine. Following her graduation she and her kitty moved from Columbus, Ohio to Cleveland, Ohio where she took a second shift small animal emergency medicine and surgery position. After learning more than she ever thought possible in her year and a half in emergency medicine, she was ready for a change of pace and was looking to transition into small animal general practice. After 10 years of exploring the Northeast, ultimately the pull of Buffalo won and she now resides back home with her boyfriend and fur baby. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending concerts and traveling as much as possible.

At work, not only does she enjoy problem visits but also works to incorporate fear-free handling and has an emphasis on nutrition and preventive medicine (which can help to keep a lot of pets out of the ER!).
