Melissa joins Buffalo Small Animal Hospital with over 18 years experience in the veterinary profession. Her love of all furry, scaly and feathered began as a child and continued to grow well into adulthood. Melissa graduated from Alfred State College with an associate's degree in Veterinary technology in 2002, became a licensed Veterinary Technician that same year and has been in the veterinary field ever since. She has been with BSAH since August 2022 as the Hospital Manager. Melissa is passionate about the wellness of her co-workers, the Fear Free initiative and strengthening the human-animal bond. Bodhi and Beesly (Pictured above), her boston terriers; Oscar the garbage cat, her tuxedo feline; Buddy, the bearded dragon; Raspberry and Candy, the house guinea pigs; and two human children and husband make up her menagerie at home. When not at Buffalo Small, Melissa can be found at the local YMCA teaching fitness classes, camping, embroidering and spending quality time with her family.
